The WE-5611 Cargo Winch System was selected by McDonnell Douglas for the
Air Force KC-10A Refueling Cargo Tanker. This electrically powered Cargo
Winch is used to move and relocate cargo within the interior of the aircraft
when on the ground or during flight. The system includes a Crewman' s Handgrip
Pendant and Cable for "Up" "Down" remote control operations, and in addition
a redundant manual switch used for the same purpose located on the winch

wheels at wide fleet angles.
