Breeze-Eastern Corporation Model LDS 6000

Breeze-Eastern Corporation's new all-electric servo is designed to drive a 30MM weapon in elevation, and meet the rugged environment of a Light Attack Vehicle. The servo exhibits a stiffness of 256 in-lbs/radian and is capable of driving a normal load of 6,000 pounds, and a peak load of 12,000 pounds. The servo incorporates a slip clutch to protect against external overloads, and a manual drive for silent operation. 

To meet stringent envelope requirements and at the same time satisfy the unique operational requirements of the system, Breeze-Eastern Corporation called upon multiple design disciplines to develop a servo that exhibits minimal stiction, yet is highly precise and efficient.
