Helicopter Rescue Hoist System
Breeze-Eastern Corporation Model HS-16600
Breeze-Eastern Corporation's HS-16600 series external electric hoist system based on
the BL-16600 utility/rescue hoist is the most compact and lowest weight
equipment of its kind. Matching the size and power of light, single engine
helicopters, this "baby" hoist has been used primarily in its utility role,
enhancing helicopters operational capabilities. The hoist is also
used by several search and rescue services as a back up hoist. Different
configurations of this hoist have been installed and operated on some of
the most popular light lift civil/civilian helicopters, including the Agusta
A-109 and A-119, Bell 206, 222, 230 and MD Helicopter MD500.
In recent years, a new variant of this hoist equipped with a Quick Connect/Disconnect
mechanism (see picture) has been developed to fulfill the need for a SAR
back-up hoist on medium and heavy lift helicopters, including the Boeing
CH-46/BV-107, Eurocopter AS-332 Super Puma, Sikorsky H-60, "Hawk" Series
and Westland Sea King.
This superior value product can be factory installed on new production
helicopters or it can be retrofitted on existing helicopters. Retrofits
can be made directly by users/operators at their facilities with our technical
assistance. Complete product support is provided by our World Wide Network
of Service Centers.

Breeze-Eastern Corporation's HS-16600 series electrical utility/rescue hoist system
is light weight and simple to install, operate and maintain. It offers
the possibility to expand the operational capabilities of light class civilian
helicopters. In this expanded utility role, small helicopters can be used
for aerial delivery of small cargo loads and personnel in remote and/or
difficult to access areas without landing.
For dedicated Search and Rescue helicopters, both civil/civilian and
military, which normally carry a heavy duty 600 pound lift rescue hoist
as the primary rescue equipment, this Quick Connect Hoist provides an excellent
back-up hoist system capability.
