Helicopter Rescue Hoist System

Designed in response to Sikorsky's requirements for a light-weight superior
performance hydraulic rescue hoist, the original model was introduced by
Breeze-Eastern Corporation in 1982. Continuously upgraded, this personnel rescue hoist
series was subsequently produced for the entire H-60/S-70 helicopter lineage.
Today, more than 500 helicopters worldwide are equipped with Breeze-Eastern Corporation
BL-27100 series rescue hoist system.
The hoist design incorporates proven, reliable technology as well as new, state-of-the-art features. Mature multistage planetary reducer and fail-safe brake designs were combined with modern servo-control and display technology to provide a high performance superior product. Very satisfied users of the BL-27100 include the United States Navy, Army, SOF, Air Force, and Coast Guard, as well as the Royal Australian Navy and Air Force, Republic of China Navy, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. |
